I didn't contact a bunch of friends for 5 years because of the same reason too. 5 months ago, when I came to the door of that restaurant... I really wanted to quit!!!!! but fortunately I didn't.
Like someone wrote me a little note saying... "Don't escape, deal with it! =]"
